At the adress Sander 30A in Etten-Leur is a new home including basement being built. On the left side by the future entrance to the basement lies an existing home. At the front of the new home with basement lies the street on short distance, here are utility lines located. For a safe excavation of the cofferdam retaining walls are needed.

Initially the vibrant installation of sheet piles was planned, however this method was not approved by the insurance. The use of a CSM-wall which is applied completely free of vibration gives the solution. The risk to the existing house is limited to a negligible minimum. Moreover, the CSM wall price was more interesting than a the price of a sheet pile.

To prove to the assurance that the CSM wall is the best option, a comprehensive monitoring plan has been drawn up. Various bolts are repeatedly measured to monitor settlements of the existing house during the execution of the cofferdam. Also the deformation of the CSM-wall is monitored.
