The railway zone at the station in Elst is rebuilted with two new underpasses by contractor Mobilis and engineer Movares. One underpass for fast traffic and one underpass for slow traffic. To realize the access road to the underpass at the Old Aamsestraat only sheet piles were originally designed. Sheetpile contracter "Voorbij" has the sheet piling work in progress and is ready with installing the sheetpiles by vibrating. BodemBouw will complete the rest of the excavation of the ramp near by the existing buildings with a CSM-wall, which is made without any vibrations. The CSM wall will be soil- and watertight connected on the existing sheet piles, whereby the closed cofferdam is obtained. The point level of the CSM-walls will extend to to a natural retaining caly layer to create a polder cofferdam.
To relieve, by reducing execution risk and disruption to a minimum with the revolutionary, sustainable CSM-system. Achieving profit in time and cost by performing a complete cofferdam with an optimum method.
